auf Wiedersehen

The Kaiserhof in Bradford celebrated their last day of business yesterday.
We've enjoyed many great German meals at the restaurant, and will miss that location.
A new Kaiserhof has been in the works at the Shoppes at Grand Prairie in Peoria, and I would expect them to be open any day now.
Yesterday an ad was posted looking for a few more experienced restaurant personnel for the Grand Prairie site.

Awh, it had been a recent conversation....that the Peoria location would hurt the Bradford location (why drive to Bradford when you can just eat in Peoria) with my family. They will be upset that it closed shop and are now in Peoria...as the weekly (sometimes twice a week) jaunt to Bradford was becoming, well...like tradition. But a few weeks ago we were in there on a Friday night and there was only one other table aside from us - until we we were leaving and then another two tables came in. It was a ghost town.

We had a fun early dinner there with friends and family about two weekends ago. By the time we were getting ready to leave, things were picking up a bit.
I'm glad we made the trek out there that night!

Honestly, we have only been there about a half dozen times....it's not exactly "close" but the fam back in the area loves it.....

This is so sad. The Kaiserhof is about halfway between my and my grandparent's house. We met there a few times for dinner. I loved the Jaeger Schnitzel.

Jaeger Schnitzel was what I had on my last visit there, with Spaetzle and green beans. Yum!
I hope the food is as good at the Grand Prairie location.
