Panache

Panache is a great choice for coffee, lunch and even dinner and live music.
Located in Sheridan Village in Peoria, Panache features specials each day. Last time I was in, I had a veggie wrap with hummus, wrapped in a spinach tortilla. Very good. They also have great soups, sandwiches, casseroles and more.
While there, you can take advantage of the wireless network while lounging on a cozy couch.
Many times I cannot pass up the gelato case on my way out. They have six or eight flavors each time.
Gelato not your thing? Scope out the dessert case and you should find something to tickle your taste buds.

And live jazz every tuesday and Thursday night by some of the best jazz musicians in the area. And on Friday night between 5 and 7:30, Dave Hoffman, the trumpet player for Ray Charles, plays a two hour "happy hour".

My favorite Panache item is the vanilla chai... even if you don't like chai you should try it.

Oh, and the sunday breakfasts are good. Usually 3 choices (plus regular menu items like bagels)... Examples are roasted veggies with 2 eggs and strawberry stuffed french toast. It changes weekly.

We're hoping to catch Dave Hoffman August 16 at CEFCU Center Stage, but now I will try to catch him at Panache, too.
I do like chai, I had one Saturday that was a bit too sweet from one of those drive up places. Vanilla chai sounds divine.
And thanks for the tip, I never thought of Panache for Sunday breakfast!

And about every six weeks or so, Yours Truly is the guest chef.
